Yoel
Hanegbi led his team with installing "peel & stick" adhesive photovoltaic
panels on the roof of Cumberland Elementary in Sunnyvale, California.
Eshone Energy, working as the PV
installer with Bruns Belmont Construction, Inc. , broke ground in August and the
14.7 kW roof-mounted solar system was up and officially running by September 1st. This
was a small solar project that nevertheless, generated a lot of excitement for
the students and the surrounding community; so much so that a similar Solar
Project was initiated for Lakewood Elementary PV System, also in Sunnyvale.
Here are a few shots of our recently installed Solar Power System on the roof of Cumberland Elementary School.
Some details about this Solar
project:
- 14.7 kW Photovoltaic (PV) system
- Eliminates 25,000 lbs of CO2 annually
- Energy Output: 23,000 kWh
- 108 Adhesive Unisolar panels of the Amorphous type
- 3 inverters from SMA
- Angle of the panels: 20 degrees
- Project was completed in 4 weeks
Students especially enjoy going online
to check the energy data in real time through the Fat
Spaniel Monitoring System.
